Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Everton

Here are the photos from my first trip to England.  It was August 13-18, 2008.  I flew into Manchester before visiting Sheffield, Leeds, Warrington, and Liverpool before also seeing most of Manchester.  It was a great trip.  More stories to come....

My first full day in England.  Of course it rained.
My visit to Sheffield to see Sheffield United play Port Vale.

Old Trafford - home of the greatest football team.
Elland Road Stadium - home of Leeds United
Billy Bremner's statue outside of Elland Road.
On the stadium tour at Old Trafford.
Just in case you didn't believe me....

I love this quote.  It was a tragic day in the team's history.

Me on the bench where the gaffer and players sit.
Trying to act normal like I belong there...
Red Cafe - located inside the stadium...pretty good food.
List of Manchester United players and the year they joined.
1992 - David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Eric Cantona
Me posing for the team picture.  I forgot to wear my shorts.
The Hilton Hotel - tallest building in Manchester, Beckham owns
one of the top floors.
I just thought this was a cool, random photo.

   Everton Football Club in Liverpool
EVERTON vs. BLACKBURN GAME
Dixie Dean - scored most goals in a season

Everton lost at the very end.  I had mixed feelings.

   MANCHESTER UNITED vs. NEWCASTLE
